Pathway to Certification
The CMP process is a unique professional pathway to assist you to better develop your clinical skills and reasoning. This will enable you to evaluate, treat and provide patient independence, all without producing a patient’s symptoms during functional tasks. The CMP certification process is focused on assisting the clinician in a formal process to better develop their knowledge base and skill competence in the Mulligan Concept™, and then have that competency evaluated by peer review/examination process.
Required Course Completion: Upper Quadrant, Lower Quadrant, and Advanced courses. The Advanced course can only be completed after the Upper Quadrant and Lower Quadrant course have been completed. However, the Upper and Lower Quadrant courses can be taken in any order.
CMP’s are a referral source for other clinicians and the general public, seeking treatment from clinicians who achieved a recognized level of competence in the Mulligan Concept™. The successful CMP practitioner will be eligible to have their names listed on the Mulligan (www.bmulligan.com) web sites; they could also be listed on other regional websites.
The examination process for the CMP credentialing includes both a didactic and manual skills assessment; a recognized pass qualification is achieved at 80% on each portion of the exam. Upon successful completion of the examination process these clinicians will be recognized as Certified Mulligan Practitioners (CMP).
Notification on teaching: Individuals who pass the CMP qualifying exam are NOT entitled to, nor are they recognized by the MCTA to formally teach Mulligan Concept ™ courses.
